Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar turns Dhanush's 'dad'

Filmmaker and actor SA Chandrasekhar, also the father of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, is all set to turn on-screen dad for another star actor! Well, it is none other than Dhanush.

As per the buzz, SA Chandrasekhar was approached to play Dhanush's father in Durai Senthilkumar's forthcoming film and he agreed to it. Apparently, it is an interesting role and perfectly suits the veteran filmmaker.

"SA Chandrasekhar will play Dhanush's father in Durai Senthilkumar's upcoming film. He is likely to join the shoot by January 2016. The film has Dhanush playing a double role — that of brothers — for the first time," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.

It is reported that SA Chandrashekar has decided to do more number of films in the coming months. Hence, he has signed a few movies including a film with Pa Vijay.

Coming to the project, the Tamil movie has Shamlee, the sister of Shalini Ajith Kumar, in the female lead role. Other details about the project are under wraps.

Dhanush's "Thanga Magan" in post-production stage

Dhanush is busy with "Thanga Magan", which has reached the crucial post-production stage. The makers have locked in 18 December as the release date. The movie has Amy Jackson and Samantha in the female lead roles.

"Thanga Magan" has been written and directed by cinematographer-turned-director Velraj, who made his directorial debut in "Velaiyilla Pattahari". Raadhika Sarathkumar and ace filmmaker KS Ravikumar will be seen in important roles.
