The release of the first look and the motion poster are a real treat for fans who will be celebrating Vijay's birthday on Sunday.
The shooting of "Kaththi" is progressing at a brisk pace. It will be a working birthday for Vijay and the actor will reportedly be shooting in Andhra Pradesh for his film.
Directed by Murugadoss, "Kaththi" is touted to be an action packed entertainer mixed with all the commercial elements. The film reportedly has Vijay in dual roles, while Samantha Ruth Prabhu, comedian Sathish and bollywood actor Neil Nithiin Mukesh are also part of the cast.
Expectations are sky high for "Kaththi" as Murugadoss and Vijay have teamed up for the second time post the success of their 2012-release "Thuppakki." Whether the actor-director duo will be able to reprise the "Thuppakki" magic is something one needs to wait and watch.
"Kaththi" shooting is expected to be wrapped up by August after which the post production work will commence. The makers are yet to announce the audio and trailer release dates of the film. Its music is composed by Anirudh and cinematography is handled by George C. Williams.
The action entertainer, produced by Ayngaran International and LYCA productions, is getting ready to hit the screens for Diwali 2014. The film will be Vijay's second release of the year after "Jilla", which made it to theatres in January. The Vijay starrer is expected to clash with Rajinikanth's "Lingaa" and Vishal's "Poojai", which are also gearing up to release during the festival period.
