Tamil actor Vijay is known for the kind of attachment that he has for his fans. The actor made it clear on Monday when he visited the family of his deceased fan.
Vijay and his 'Kaththi' team were in Coimbatore on Monday for the success meet of the film and the actor met the family of Unnikrishnan from Wadakkanchery in Palakkad district of Kerala.
The 25-year-old fan had met with an accident while he was celebrating the success of "Kaththi". The young fan reportedly fell from the top of a huge cut-out of Vijay while he was performing 'Palabhishekam' (Milk Offering) at Jayabharath Theatre in Wadakancherry after watching "Kaththi".
Though rushed to hospital, Unnikrishan had died due to severe injuries. Later, Vijay had issued a press note, extending condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and said the loss of his loved one is irrecoverable and is something that will remain in his heart forever. He had also asked his fans not to endanger their life or those around them to show their support for him.
Meanwhile, Vijay consoled the family of Unnikrishnan and handed over ₹3 lakh to the family. It was the members of the Vijay fans association who had handed over the money to Unikkrishnan's sister Trivenidas and his brother Vishnu Das.
The actor also said that he would make sure that the family is taken care in the right way from now on.
Many fans from Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam were also present and Vijay Fans Associations of various areas have also extended their support to the family of the deceased.
