Actor Vijay is all set to render a song in his upcoming film "Kaththi," directed by AR Murugadoss.
It has become a trend of sorts for music composers of Vijay's films to make the actor sing at least one song in the projects. In the past, Vijay has crooned several songs in his films, most of which have turned out to be hits.
The actor had also rendered songs in his last two releases - "Vaanganna Vanakanganna" from "Thalaivaa" and "Kandangi Kandangi" from "Jilla".
Now, it is confirmed that Vijay will be singing a song in his upcoming film "Kaththi," according to Behindwoods. This news is sure to excite Vijay's fans worldwide.
Anirudh is working on the soundtracks of the film. There are five songs in the Vijay starrer and one theme track. Of the five songs, one has been shot in Chennai airport and the other one in Hyderabad. The intro song of the film has been crooned by Anirudh and Aadhi, the website reported.
"Kaththi" is one of the most-anticipated projects of 2014. The film reportedly has Vijay appearing in dual roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays the female lead opposite Vijay in the film, while bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh will be making his debut in Tamil as a villain.
The Murugadoss directorial is touted to be an action entertainer with a racy screenplay. The film's cinematography is handled by George C Williams and editing is done by A Sreekar Prasad.
Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions are jointly producing the film, which is slated to hit the screens for Diwali (23 October 2014).
The first look of "Kaththi" is expected to be out on Tamil New Year's Day (14 April). However, an official confirmation regarding this is still awaited.
