Actor Vijay is one of the most demanded actors in Tamil film industry today, thanks to his singing prowess.
The actor crooned the "Google Google" song in "Thuppakki", one of the biggest blockbuster films released last year.
Following the success, Vijay went on to sing in his upcoming film, "Thalaivaa." The song titled "Vaanganna Vanakkanganna" was composed by G V Prakash.
Now, music director Imman, who is composing the songs for Vijay's "Jilla", also wants the actor to sing a song in the film.
"We've not finalized anything but yes, we do wish to make Vijay sing a number for Jilla," Imman told the Times of India.
It is also reported that music composer Anirudh of "Kolveri Di" fame might request Vijay to croon a song for his project with A R Murugadoss.
Vijay is known for lending his voice in films including "Sachin", "Bagavathi", "Thamizhan", "Badri", "Priyamanavale", "Nenjinile" and "Vishnu."
The "Thuppaki" actor is not the only one who has sung for films. Several Kollywood stars have sung in their films as well as for other actors. Actor Dhanush achieved national fame with his song "Kolaveri Di." His song in "Aayirathil Oruvan" was also a huge hit among the masses.
Dhanush will be seen crooning a peppy party song in Arya and Anushka starrer "Irandam Ulagam", directed by his brother Selvaraghavan.
Other notable stars who have rendered songs in films, include Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan and Siddharth. Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film, "Kochadaiyaan" will have a song (which is more of a recitation) sung by the actor himself. This would be his second song in Tamil, as he had earlier crooned the popular number "Adikuthu Kuliru" for 1992-release "Mannan."
