The trailer and the audio of Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer "Dharmadurai" were launched on Wednesday, Aug. 3. The makers have unveiled the trailer and audio at an event in Chennai, which was graced by the cast and crew of the forthcoming flick.
But the film's leading lady Tamannaah Bhatia skipped the occasion due to her other commitments. She tweeted, "Cudnt attend the audio launch today , been shooting the climax of @BaahubaliMovie , lots of love to my entire team of #Dharmadurai. [sic]"
The trailer of "Dharmadurai" indicates that the movie revolves around an ambitious doctor, who comes to his village to serve the poor and the story takes a major twist once he lands in his place. The video managed to evoke a good response as it goes on to show that the flick has a strong storyline.
Vijay Sethupathi, like usual, impresses viewers in his simple avatars. Tamannaah and Aishwarya Rajesh leave good impact on the audience with their de-glamorous roles. The teaser has action and emotional sequences, which raise the overall quality of the clip.
Coming to the audio, Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film and Vairamuthu has written the lyrics. Chinmayi Sripada, Rahul Nanda, Senthildass, Surmukhi, Srimathu Mitha, Mathichiyam Bala and Karthick have sung the songs. The audio rights have been acquired by Trend Music.
Both the trailer and the audio have won good reviews from the audience.
"Dharmadurai" is written and directed by Seenu Ramaswamy of "Neerparavai" fame and it is bankrolled by RK Suresh under the banner of Studio 9 Production. Srushti Dange, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Aruldas, Madhuvanti Arun, Vishalini and others are in the cast.
The film, which is likely to release on Aug. 12, has Sukumar's cinematography and Kasi Vishwanathan's editing.
