Vikram's 'Spirit of Chennai' song seems ready to get bigger and better. Chiyaan is leaving no stone unturned to make it a memorable number as he wants big names like Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay to be part of the number.
Rumour has it that after roping in many big names from South films for the 'Spirit of Chennai' song; Vikram, now, wishes to cast Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay. The buzz says that Ilayathalapathy has already given his nod to Chiyaan's request and this does not come as a surprise as the duo shares a good rapport.
Kamal Haasan is likely to appear in the song, but it has to be seen whether Ajith will do the cameo as the actor is still recovering from multiple surgeries that he underwent in November 2015.
So far, Vikram has roped in Telugu stars like Ram Charan Teja, Prabhas, Nani, Nivin Pauly from Malayalam and Puneet Rajkumar and Yash from Kannada films. Jayam Ravi, Prabhu Deva, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Suriya, Arya, Vishal, Bobby Simha and many others are part of the song. All these stars will appear at parts in the number.
Vikram is directing and producing "Spirit of Chennai". The song has C Girinandh's music and over 20 singers, including Chinmayi and Shakthishree Gopalan, have lent their voices for this special track. Rokesh, Madan Karky and Gaana Bala have penned the lyrics, Sridhar Master is the choreographer and Vijay Milton has handled the camera.
The song is a tribute to the volunteers and the citizens of Chennai who stood strong when the unprecedented rain leading to floods wreaked havoc in the city last month. Cutting across all the barriers, people united to help the fellow beings in full spirit and the song praises such acts that brought the best out of them.
The song with the visuals of the devastating flood was released recently. But the actual video featuring celebs will be out shortly.
