Here is some good news for actor Vijay's fans, who are eagerly waiting to see his upcoming film "Thalaivaa".
The film's shooting has been wrapped up and post production work is now in full swing. Vijay has seen the final cut of the film and is said to have liked it. The action entertainer will be censored soon (possibly on 24 July) after which the promotional activities will begin.
"Thalaivaa" is expected to get released on 9 August to cash in on more revenue during the Ramzan weekend as well as Independence Day holidays. "#Thalaivaa update - Film will b censored shortly. Release date almost firmed up 4 the big #RamzanWeekend - Aug 9," senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted on his micro-blogging site twitter.
However, the makers are yet to officially announce the film's release date. Directed by AL Vijay, "Thalaivaa" is about a common man who becomes a leader. The film's trailer which was launched along with the audio last month has already generated a lot of buzz. The fact that it is a Vijay film (both actor and director) has also raised expectations. His last two releases - "Nanban" and "Thuppaki", were big hits. "Thalaivaa", deemed as a commercial entertainer, is also expected to receive good response from the audience.
The film's songs composed by GV Prakash are topping the musical charts. In particular, a song sung by Vijay has been well received by the masses.
"Thalaivaa" boasts of an ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Manobala, Ragini Nandwani and Rajeev Pillai. The film is produced by Chandraparakash Jain under the Sri Mishri Productions banner. If the film's release date is confirmed as 9 August, then the Vijay starrer would be heading for a big clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan's "Atharintiki Daredi" at the worlwide box office.
