Sudeep has made a big statement, which is sure to please Vijay's fans. Appreciating Vijay and his dedication towards his films, Sudeep has said that Ilayathalapathy is the biggest star of their generation.
Kiccha Sudeep is entering Tamil films with Vijay's forthcoming movie. He will be seen in the role of the antagonist in the flick, where he plays the character of yesteryear actress Sridevi's son and the commander of her empire.
Talking about the movie and his co-star Vijay, the Kannada superstar declared that the Ilayathalapathy is the biggest star of his generation and a lot of care is taken while penning the Tamil actor's character in his films.
"He is the biggest star of the generation and lot of care has been taken to showcase his image. Whatever role he plays, it is expected that he should do a bit of comedy, dance and do a lot of things in every film. Vijay's role is nicely detailed," the Bangalore Mirror quoted Sudeep as saying.
Sudeep also clarified that he does not play the parallel hero with Vijay in the film, but assures that he is not playing just a villain's role. He explained that his character has both good and bad shades. "If it was just a negative character, I would not have been approached," he said, adding that he is excited to be working with Sridevi.
The makers of the film wanted Sudeep for this role and waited for two months for his approval. Apart from him, Hansika Motwani and Shruti Haasan are also in the cast and they will be playing the female lead roles in the Tamil movie.
"Vijay 58" is a mega-budget project directed by Chimbudevan. The fantasy-adventure project is jointly produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens Films. The shooting of the Tamil movie started on Wednesday in Chennai and the makers want to release the flick next summer.
