While Vijay is all set to kick-start his new movie with Chimbudevan on 10 November, preparations for his 59th movie have also begun. The Ilayathalapathy will be teaming up with Atlee Kumar, who has now reportedly roped in Nayantara for the movie.
Latest buzz in the industry is that Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame had approached her a few months ago and kept updating her on the status of the movie. While the actress, who is busy filming Surya's "Masss", was impressed with the storyline, she took time to give a green signal to the project as the movie is likely to start mid 2015.
However, as things started falling into place, Nayantara, who had earlier worked with him in "Villu", was happy to accept the offer. It is believed that the actress trusts Atlee Kumar, who directed her in hit movie "Raja Rani", and she is hopeful of the project living up to the audience expectations. She has "Idhu Namma Aalu", "Nanbenda" and "Thani Oruvan" in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, it has now been confirmed that "Vijay 59" will be produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. Before the Ilayathalapathy left for London, the producer along with the director and the technical team comprising of music director GV Prakash, DOP George William and editor Antony met the actor at his residence to discuss about the movie.
Atlee Kumar is very excited to be directing a star actor like Vijay in his second movie. He has prepared a stylish action thriller, in which Vijay is expected to play the role of a cop. The movie will hit screens in January 2016 for Pongal.
On the other hand, Vijay, who is thrilled over the response that he got for his recent movie "Kaththi", is game to start his fantasy-adventure project directed by Chimbudevan. The forthcoming movie features Sudeep, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and yesteryear actress Sridevi in key roles.
