The 2015 Best Tamil Actor poll conducted by IBTimes India has so far seen a close contest between Ajith and Vijay.
The combined vote share among the duo stands around 91%. So, it is safe to say that the battle is played only between the two actors with other stars getting negligible shares.
Currently, Vijay is leading by a small margin. He is in the first position by getting 45.87% of votes and Ajith has got around 45.7%. While Ilayathalapathy has been nominated for his flop film "Puli", Thala has found a place with his hit film "Vedalam".
Suriya is in the third position by getting 2.96% of votes. He has been nominated for his average grosser "Massu". Interestingly, Jayam Ravi has beaten a few big names by getting 2.14% of vote share. He found a place for his performance in "Thani Oruvan" and "Romeo Juliet".
Dhanush has been nominated for "Anegan" and "Thanga Magan" and he has secured 1.31% vote share. Kamal Haasan is in the sixth position and he has found a place for his multiple films -- "Uttama Villain", "Papanasam" and "Thoongaa Vanam".
Vijay Sethupathi, who is nominated for "Naanum Rowdydhaan", is at the seventh position by garnering 0.37% votes for his acting in "Naanum Rowdydhaan". Sivakarthikeyan follows next for his "Kaaki Sattai" and he has received 0.25% votes.

Karthi ("Komban") and Raghava Lawrence ("Kanchana 2") are in the last two places by getting 0.15 and 0.19% respectively.
