After a gap of five years, Vadivelu is likely to team up with Vijay again. The comedian has been approached to act in Ilayathalapathy's next flick, which is currently referred as Vijay 61.
Reports say that talks are on between Vadivelu and the makers of Vijay 61. But nothing has been finalised yet. The comedian had worked with Vijay in successful movies like Sachien and Pokkiri, while Kaavalan was their last film together in 2011.
Vadivelu had kept himself out of films for the last couple of years. Now, his Kaththi Sandai is set for the release.
During the promotions of Kaththi Sandai, Vadivelu had said that he turned down several films in recent years as he was not offered prominent roles. In fact, he has revealed that he rejected Rajinikanth's Lingaa for the same reason.
It has to be seen whether Vadivelu will accept Ilayathalapathy's latest movie. Nonetheless, the fans are eagerly waiting for them to team up again.
Coming to Vijay 61, the movie is directed by Atlee Kumar, while KV Vijayendra Prasad has written the story and AR Rahman is expected to compose the music. A few top heroines, including Nayanthara, have been approached. Other cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
The shooting of the movie, which is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, will reportedly commence in February 2017.
