Ilayathalapathy Vijay was expected to team up with Atlee Kumar for a big budget Tamil film. But now, it looks like the upcoming movie will be delayed as the pre-production work is expected to consume a lot of time.
Rumours are rife that Vijay and Atlee's film has been postponed to next year and the actor might do a regular commercial entertainer before taking up Atlee's film. It is because Atlee has to spend quite a lot of time on the pre-production work and this seems to be paving way for Ilayathalapathy to do a quickie.
Vijay and Atlee had earlier collaborated in this year's action film Theri. However, as of now, there is no formal update on who will direct Vijay's next film. But it is also said that the actor might go with a tried-and-tested filmmaker. The actor wishes to complete the quickie in three months time.
Currently, Vijay is working on his next film Bairavaa. The film has reached its final stage of shooting and the team has plans to complete it by November. He is paired up with Bharathan, who has collaborated with Ilayathalapathy after their Azhagiya Tamil Magan way back in 2007.
Bairavaa has Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead. Aparna Vinod, Papri Ghosh, Jagapathi Babu, Sathish, YG Mahendra, Daniel Balaji and others are in the cast. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music, M Sukumar is the cinematographer and Praveen KL is the editor of the flick, which will hit the screens in January 2017.
Meanwhile, there are rumours making the rounds that Selvaraghavan recently met Vijay and narrated a story. The subject has reportedly impressed the actor.
