There have been lots of speculations about the title of Vijay's 60th movie. The buzz is that the makers won't prefer a lengthy title and plan to have a catchy single word name for the upcoming Tamil movie.
The emerging reports say that the makers of the film, which is presently referred to as "Vijay 60," have locked in the name and it is a title like some of the actor's recent movies. "Enga Veetu Pillai," "Namma Veetu Pillai" and "Unga Veetu Pillai" are the three names that have been doing rounds. But sources close to the production house have clarified that the reports are not true.
Since 2000, only two of Vijay's films ("Puthiya Geethai" and "Azhagiya Tamil Magan") have had multiple-word titles. In the last nine years, all his films had one-word movie names.
"Kuruvi," "Villu," "Vettaikaaran," "Sura," "Kaavalan," "Velayudham," "Nanban," "Thuppakki," "Thalaivaa," "Jilla," "Kaththi," "Puli" and "Theri" are the films that had single-word movie names.
The titles of Vijay's movies have often struck the chord with the masses. Hence, filmmakers take extra care while finalising the names. However, it is not clear when the title of "Vijay 60" will be revealed. The makers are reportedly planning to unveil it before Diwali. The news is yet to be confirmed.
"Vijay 60" has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role. Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Sathish, Mimi Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sreeman, YG Mahendra and others have supporting roles. The movie features the music of Santhosh Narayanan, who is basking in the success of "Kabali." M Sukumar is handling the cinematography, while Praveen KL is the editor of the movie.
Vijaya Productions is bankrolling the film, which will hit the screens in January 2017.
