Kajal Aggarwal may not have been seen in big-banner films in Kollywood these days, but it does not mean she is not out of the market. That has now become evident with she being offered to pair up with Vijay in his 60th film.
Rumours are rife that Kajal Aggarwal has been approached to play the female lead in the movie, which is currently referred as "Vijay 60". The actress had earlier paired up with Ilalayathalapathy in the blockbuster "Thuppakki" and the hit film "Jilla".
Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal's chemistry had worked in both the films, and this is one of the reasons why the makers opted for her again, say reports. However, the 30-year old has not given her nod yet to star in the flick.
Currently, Kajal Aggarwal is busy with big-budget films like "Sardaar Gabbar Singh", starring Pawan Kalyan, and multilingual film "Brahmotsavam", starring Mahesh Babu. In Tamil, she is busy with "Kavalai Vendam", starring Jeeva, and a film with director Anand Shankar.
"Vijay 60" will be directed by Bharathan, who had earlier made "Azhagiya Tamizh Magan". Editor Praveen has confirmed the news recently on Twitter. He posted: "Yes guys. It is true. Im on board for #Ilayathalapathy #vj60 super excited for the racy script. I thank #vijay sir and #bharathan sir. (sic)"
Bharathan is yet to make it big in the industry, and considers this a golden opportunity to make a name for himself in Kollywood. The forthcoming Tamil film is said to be an action flick, and tailor-made for Vijay, according to rumour mills.
The untitled movie will reportedly be bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, whose last movie was "Veeram", starring Ajith Kumar and Tamanna Bhatia. "Vijay 60" is in the pre-production stage, and it will take off in January 2016. Other details about the project are under wraps.
