Vijay's upcoming film will be shot in Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu soon. Major part of the film is set here and the actor is learning the local dialect for his role.
"Vijay has taken some sincere efforts to learn the Nellai slang as he has to speak that slang for his role in the film. In fact, a Nellai Tamizh expert has been roped in to teach Vijay, the slang" the Times of India quotes a source as saying.
Ilayathalapthy will be playing dual roles and the actor will be sporting new looks in the film. He had earlier played multiple roles in "Azhagiya Tamil Magan," "Kaththi," "Villu" and "Puli."
Vijay will have two female leads in the forms of Keerthy Suresh and Aparna Vinod of Malayalam movie "Kohinoor" fame. Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu is the protagonist in the flick and he reportedly plays the role of a politician.
Daniel Balaji too will be doing a negative role in the flick, which is presently referred to as "Vijay 60." Sathish, Mime Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sreeman and YH Mahendra are also among the cast.
The upcoming film is being written and directed by Bharathan, who had earlier directed Ilayathalapathy in "Azhagiya Tamizh Magan." The latest movie, which is being bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, has Santhosh Narayanan's music, Sukumar's cinematography and Praveen KL's editing.
The movie was launched on April 11 and the regular shooting was kick-started in May. The second schedule is reportedly underway in Hyderabad.
The makers have plans to release the film on Pongal 2017.
