There were reports that Vijay will be playing dual roles in his next movie, which is written and directed by Bharathan. Now, the latest buzz is that the actor will be only enacting one character in the upcoming Tamil flick.
"Insider says. #Vijay will be doing a single role..and not dual characters. He might have multiple shades with different makeovers, #Vijay60 [sic]" freelance journalist Priyanka tweeted. Ilayathalapathy is believed to be having multiple makeovers like he had in "Theri."
Incidentally, Vijay was seen in a double role in Bharathan's earlier film, "Azhagiya Tamil Magan." It may be also recalled that the actor has played multiple characters in films like "Kaththi," "Villu" and "Puli."
Coming to Vijay's role, he will reportedly speak in the Tirunelveli dialect in the movie and the actor is also expected to go bald for a crucial portion of the Tamil flick.
Meanwhile, the "Vijay 60" unit is now getting ready for the next schedule, which is expected to start shortly. The team has already wrapped up two schedules in Chennai and Hyderabad.
"Vijay 60" has Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu, who had played the role of a baddie in Rajinikanth's "Lingaa," in the role of main protagonist. Daniel Balaji will also be seen in a villain's role and Sathish, Mimi Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sreeman, YG Mahendra and others in supporting roles.
Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in the film and she will be reportedly seen as a studious and responsible college girl in "Vijay 60."
Santhosh Narayanan is the music director of the film, while Praveen KL is the editor and M Sukumar is the cinematographer. The movie is bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, which has plans to release the movie on Pongal 2017.
