Ilayathalapathy Vijay seems to have got a mass title for his 59th film directed by Atlee Kumar. The buzz says that the name of his next film is "Vettri", which means victory in English.
Rumours are rife that after much consideration, the film has been named "Vettri", which perfectly suits the content. It is also said to be name of Vijay's character in the forthcoming movie.
Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar had directed a movie titled "Vettri" starring Vijayakanth and this fact makes it a special name for the actor.
However, reports also have it that the makers wanted to have "Vettri" as the title but had to drop the idea as there is another with with the same name in the making. Additionally, it is being said that the shooting of the flick in question is almost completed.
Hence, the makers of Ilayathalapathy's film have decided to find some other title for the Atlee Kumar directorial flick, which is presently called by the name "Vijay 59".
Apart from "Vettri", some other speculated names of the project were "Moondru Mugam", "Sathyamurthy IPS" and "Chatriyan".
Meanwhile, the shooting taking place in a rapid pace. As per the reports, 50% of shooting has been completed and the remaining portions are expected to be wrapped up by November. Currently, Atlee Kumar is filming some key portions at Pachaiappan College in Chennai.
The film is an action-packed commercial film, in which Vijay plays the role of a cop. After "Kaththi", Samantha has paired up with the actor again. Amy Jackson plays the second fiddle in the flick with Prabhu, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, J Mahendran, Kaali Venkat and others playing supporting roles.
Ace filmmaker KS Ravikumar and Sunainaa are playing cameos in the film, which is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. It has GV Prakash Kumar's music, George C Williams' cinematography and Ruben's editing.
The movie is likely to be released for Pongal.
