Vijay's upcoming film with "Raja Rani" director Atlee, which is currently called "Vijay 59", has been making headlines since day one. The latest buzz is that 'Ilayathalapathy' Vijay has roped in his "Kaththi" heroine Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the movie.
Though there are no confirmations regarding this, industry sources are abuzz with the rumour. Reports are that "Vijay 59" will have two heroines in lead roles and makers are also planning to cast "I" actress Amy Jackson to play the other lead.
Earlier, rumours mills reported that Atlee had approached his "Raja Rani" co-star Nayanthara to play the lead role and the actress is impressed with the script of the movie. But later the actress backed out because of her busy schedule.
Motta Rajendran who had an impeccable performance in "Darling", will also play an integral part in "Vijay 59".
Meanwhile, Atlee is currently busy with GV Praksh in composing the songs which are mix of melody as well as mass tunes. Reports are that the team has recorded a peppy number which is going to be a popular one like "Selfie Pulla" from "Kaththi'.
"Vijay 59" is said to be an action thriller and will be produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. However, the team has not yet revealed anything more about the story.
Meanwhile, Vijay has begun the shooting of his 58th movie "Puli" directed by Chimbudevan in Chennai. The film reportedly has a budget of Rs. 90 crores and will be shot in the different locations in India.
"Puli" is touted as a fantasy entertainer and will have the star cast comprising of Shruthi Haasan, Sreedevi, Sudeep and Hansika Motwani in pivotal roles. This big-budget entertainer is produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens Films.
