It is often believed that having popular titles of yesteryear hits adds brand value to latest movies. Going by this belief, director Atlee Kumar seems to have decided to name his latest film after a hit Rajinikanth film, "Moondru Mugam".
The movie is presently called by the name, "Vijay 59". It is said that the name perfectly suits the story of the latest Tamil flick. Hence, the makers have decided to go with this name.
The Tamil movie was launched last week at Kerala House, ECR. At the muhurat function, Atlee Kumar had said that it will be a family entertainer with a lot of emotions. He also pointed out that Samantha and Amy Jackson will have emotional roles.
This contradicts the claims made by the director in earlier reports. It was earlier said that "Vijay 59" would be an out-and-out action movie, in which Vijay would be seen in the role of a cop.
Meanwhile, GV Prakash Kumar has finished composing music for the album. Vijay has reportedly sung two songs for the movie. The album will have various varieties of songs, including a local number and an emotional track.
It is quite impressive to see that the complete album is ready even before the commencement of the shooting. "Vijay 59", which is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu, is made with the budget of ₹100 crore.
Samantha to Play a Student?
Samantha, who is teaming up with Vijay once again after blockbuster "Kaththi", will reportedly be playing the role of a college student. His co-star Amy Jackson and Vijay both play the characters of police officers.
