Actress Shruti Haasan has confirmed that she will be paired opposite Vijay in Chimbudevan's new film.

"Vijay 58" (Vijay's 58th film) is all set to go on floors after the actor completes his current project "Kaththi", directed by A.R. Murugadoss. There have been several reports doing the rounds regarding "Vijay 58" for the last few months.

It was reported that Haasan and Hansika Motwani will play the female leads opposite Vijay in Chimbudevan's film. The actress, who is currently busy with a few Hindi, Tamil and Telugu projects, took to twitter to confirm her presence in the film.

This will be the first time that the "3" actress will be teaming up with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. It is not yet confirmed whether Motwani will be playing the other female lead's role in "Vijay 58." If she is indeed part of the project, it will be her second film with Ilayathalapathy after "Velayudham."

The Chimbudevan directorial is touted to be fantasy-based film. Versatile actos Sridevi and Kicha Sudeep of "Naan Ee" will also be part of the film's cast.

"Vijay 58" will be shot in never seen before locations across India. The director and the film's cinematographer Natraj (popularly referred to as Nutty) are on a location hunt for the film. "Simbudevan and I are headed to several states across India, like Kerala, interior TN, Maharashtra and even up North to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The idea is to look for locations that have not been seen on screen before," Nutty told the New Indian Express.

"Vijay 58" is one of the most-awaited films considering the big star cast of the film. The film's shooting is expected to commence once Vijay completes "Kaththi." The AR Murugadoss directorial is progressing well and the shooting is likely to be completed by July end.

Vijay-Chimbudevan project is expected to go on floors by the end of August. The film will mark the return of veteran actress Sridevi to the Tamil film industry after several years. Sridevi returned to bollywood with 2012-release "English Vinglish" and now is all set to make her reentry in Tamil with "Vijay 58."

Devi Sri Prasad will compose the songs for the film. The big budget entertainer will be produced by Shibu Thameens and P.T.Selvakumar.
