It was recently confirmed that actress Shruti Haasan will be playing the female lead in Vijay-Chimbudevan's new film.
However, a recent tweet posted by the actress resulted in fans wondering whether the actress had opted out of the project.
"So things change - no biggie - everything happens for a reason you just have to find it :)," Shruti had tweeted.
The tweet was misunderstood by some of her fans and there were speculations about her exit from "Vijay 58" (Vijay's 58th film).
Later, Shruti clarified that she is still part of Vijay's film. She also expressed her excitement in working with Chimbudevan and Vijay. "I'm very excited to be doing chimbudevan and vijay sirs film! Hope that puts the speculation on my pseudo philosophical tweet to rest!:p," Shruti tweeted.
"Vijay 58" is currently in the pre-production stage and its shooting is expected to commence once Vijay completes his current project "Kaththi", which is nearing completion and gearing up for Diwali release.
On the other hand, Shruti is now busy with her upcoming film "Poojai". She is expected to join the shooting of "Vijay 58" after completing her current assignments.
Directed by Chimbudevan, "Vijay 58" is touted to be a fantasy-based film. It will have popular actors, including Sudeep of "Naan Ee" fame and Bollywood actress Sridevi in pivotal roles.
The "English Vinglish" actress will be making her comeback to the Tamil film industry with "Vijay 58" after many years.
Hansika Motwani is apparently playing another heroine in the film. However, there is no official confirmation regarding her presence in the Vijay starrer. If she is part of the project, it will be her second film with Ilayathalapathy after their 2011-release "Velayudham."
For Shruti, it will be her first project with Vijay. The presence of such popular stars has raised the expectations about the upcoming fantasy entertainer.
The shooting of "Vijay 58" will reportedly take place in never seen before locations across India, including in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala and interior Tamil Nadu.
The project will be produced by Shibu Thameens and P. T. Selvakumar, and its music will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
