Rumours refuse to die down regarding "Vijay 58" title, ever since the film went on floors.
At least three names – "Maareesan," "Garuda" and "Porvaal" – have made news as the titles for the Vijay starrer. Clearing the air, "Vijay 58" director Chimbudevan has stated that the film's title is yet to be finalised and also revealed that the title will be out only in January 2015.
"All three titles – 'Maareesan', 'Garuda' and 'Porvaal' are rumors. We have not zeroed in any title for the film yet. We'll come to a conclusion with an official title and finalize only in January 2015," Chimbudevan told Only Kollywood.
The film is currently being referred to as "Vijay 58" as it is Vijay's 58th film. The first schedule of the shoot has been completed and the second schedule is underway. The film's team is shooting in a 25-acre put up set at the Adithya Ram Studios in the outskirts of Chennai. Vijay, Hansika, Sridevi and Sudeep are taking part in it, reported Behindwoods.
The Chimbudevan directorial is touted to be an action fantasy entertainer with Vijay reportedly playing dual roles. Hansika plays a princess in the film, while Sridevi dons the role of her mother. Sudeep will be appearing in the role of a commander in the film. While Vijay's roles have been kept a secret, there is a buzz that one of the roles of the actor will be of a dwarf. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
Shruti Haasan plays another heroine in "Vijay 58." This is the first time that the "Poojai" actress has teamed up with Vijay.
The film is carrying big expectations thanks to Vijay's star power. Moreover, the success of the actor's last release "Kaththi" has raised the hype surrounding the project.
Produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens, "Vijay 58" is reportedly being made on a budget of around 90 crore. Buzz is that the film might hit screens for Diwali 2015.
