Ever since Vijay-Chimbudevan's film went on floors, there has been a huge buzz surrounding the project. The latest rumour is that the film has been titled as "Garuda."
However, sources close to the film's team have dismissed the rumour, reported Behindwoods.
Earlier, there were reports that the Vijay starrer has been named as "Maarisan", which was also denied by the team. An official announcement on the title is still awaited. As of now, fans refer to the film as "Vijay 58".
Speculations are also rife that Vijay is playing the role of a dwarf in "Vijay 58," which is touted as a fantasy film. It is well-known that the actor will be appearing in dual roles in the film. The film's team has kept Vijay's roles under wraps, but rumours are doing the rounds that he plays the dwarf opposite Shruti Haasan. However, there is no official word in this regard.
The first schedule of the Chimbudevan film has been completed and the second is all set to commence soon. A grand song and a stunt sequence were reportedly shot during the first schedule on the outskirts of Chennai. The shooting is said to be located in never-seen-before places across India.
"Vijay 58" boasts of a huge star cast including Vijay, Hansika, Shruti Haasan, Sridevi and Sudeep. The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad while cinematography is handled by Natraj of "Sathuranga Vettai" fame.
This is the first time that Vijay has teamed up with director Chimbudevan, who is popular for his fictional comedy entertainers like "Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi" and "Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam". Post the success of "Kaththi," there are huge expectations on "Vijay 58" and it remains to be seen as to how the film fares at the box office.
The fantasy entertainer is reportedly made with a budget of around ₹90 crore. PT Selvakumar - who has distributed Vijay's films in Kerala - will be producing the big-budget entertainer.
The Vijay starrer is expected to hit the screens for Diwali 2015.
