The makers of "Commando 2" starring Vidyut Jammwal have announced the cast and release date of the Bollywood action film. Vidyut's first look from the sequel has also been revealed.
"Commando 2" happens to be a sequel to "Commando" (2013) and will be released on Jan. 6, 2017. The cast of "Commando 2" also includes Adah Sharma and Esha Gupta.
Directed by Deven Bhojani, the movie will apparently have high dose of action and the first look of Vidyut also suggests the same. The picture shows Vidyut flaunting his biceps and holding an AK-47. The film is being produced by The Phantoms, Vipul Shah and Dhaval Jayantilal Gada.
While the original film featured Pooja Chopra as the female lead and Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist, Adah and Esha have been roped in as female leads. The antagonist in "Commando 2" is yet to be revealed. Check the first look of Vidyut in "Commando 2."
Earlier, it was reported that Akshay Kumar will be a part of the "Commando 2" team, but behind the camera. Vipul had said that he would approach Akshay to give inputs on action sequences of the movie as the actor is considered to be one of the best action heroes in Bollywood.
"Akshay is the best action hero in the country. He was the most excited when we started 'Commando' with vidyut, and in fact, we would have liked Akshay to be more participative in 'Commando.' However, he was too busy. But now in 'Commando 2,' we definitely intend to bring Akshay in," the co-producer had told IANS.
