"The Dirty Picture" actress Vidya Balan finally tied the knot with CEO of UTV Motion Pictures Siddharth Roy Kapur in a private ceremony on Friday morning.
The couple got married in Tamil style, and keeping in mind the South-Indian traditions the wedding took place at around 4.45 am or 5 am on Friday, Mid-Day reported. There are also reports that the wedding will take place in Punjabi style since Siddharth is Punjabi.
Contrary to earlier reports of a temple wedding in Chembur, the couple exchanged wedding vows at the Green Mile bungalow in Bandra, NDTV reported.
For the wedding, the bride wore a mustard colour kanjeevaram silk sari with a green border, designed by her favourite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The groom was dressed in a traditional South-Indian style in mustard coloured, embroidered kurta and pajama.
Vidya also wore traditional gold jewellery and flowers in her hair.
The wedding celebrations began on Dec 11 with a private Punjabi style sangeet ceremony followed by a Mehendi. Both the ceremonies were held at Vidya's Khar residence and were attended by family members and close friends.
According to reports, a grand wedding reception will be held in Chennai and several Bollywood are invited.
Meanwhile, celebrities and friends of the newlywed couple congratulated them on micro-blogging site Twitter.
