Indian electronics major Videocon rolled out a 7-inch budget tablet, VT 71, to India's burgeoning tablet market which is already congested with low-cost android tablets and smartphones.

"The Videocon VT71 is aimed towards the emerging tablet market of the country which is on an unprecedented growth spiral as of today, and will become one of the lead generators of revenue in the telecommunications market, going forward." said Khalid Zamir, Head Product Planning & Development, Videocon Mobile Phone, reported AndroidOS.in.

The VT71 tablet runs on Android v4.0 mobile OS Ice Cream Sandwich and packs a powerful processor with 1.2 GHz CPU speed.
