Videocon Mobiles on Thursday rolled out its A55HD Android Jelly Bean smartphone to the Indian market with a price tag of ₹13,499.
Regarding its specifications, the all new A55HD smartphone sports a 5-inch OGS capacitive display with 1280x720 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It packs 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB with microSD card. The handset sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing image shooter. The rear camera of the Videocon A55HD handset is capable of taking 40 continuous shots on burst mode.

On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM smartphone comes with features like 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS/A-GPS. It runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system backed by a 2,000mAh battery. It comes with the preloaded in-house 'V-Store' app and comes with other features such as 'Flip To Silent' and 'Face Detection'. The smartphone is expected to be pitted against handsets coming from leading Indian companies like Micromax and Lava.
