Videocon A29 Budget Android Smartphone Launched in India: Price, Specification Details

Videocon Mobiles released a new budget smartphone in India dubbed A29, with a price tag of 5,799.

Videocon A29 boasts a 4-inch display with 480x800 pixels resolution and is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs 4GB built-in storage, which is further expandable upto 32GB with microSD card.

The handset houses 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and is backed by a 1400 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the new device of Videocon supports Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n, GPS-AGPS and GSM/GPRS/EDGE. It measures 125x63x11.4mm and comes loaded with apps such as Opera Mini, YouTube and Email. The phone will be available in Black and White colours in the country.

Recently, the company launched a budget voice-calling tablet PC VT85C in the Indian market for ₹8,999. The tablet sports a 7.0-inch capacitive touch screen with 1024x600p display resolution and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.

VT85C is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and comes with 1GB RAM, 4GB (expandable up to 32GB), 5.0-megapixel main camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options of the tablet include SIM-slot, 3G network support, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth v3.0 and A-GPS.

The company also had expanded its smartphone portfolio in the country with the launch of its Infinium series, which included eight smartphones namely Videocon A55HD, A55qHD, A54, A53, A52, A48, A42 and A31.
