Women, music, fashion, shoes, suitcases, jewellery, haircuts. Ask Cristiano Ronaldo about those, he will be fine. But venture on the Fifa corruption scandal or the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and be prepared to listen to a few "the kids better cover their ears" words.
In an interview with CNN Espanol, Ronaldo, who had come in expecting to endorse a pair of headphones, lost his cool completely as the interviewer Andres Oppenheimer asked the Real Madrid superstar about issues surrounding Fifa, the body that governs the sport he plays, before storming out in anger.
Asked whether players discussed the ongoing Fifa corruption scandal amongst themselves, Ronaldo gave the kind of answer you might expect from a high school student.
"Do you want me to be honest? It doesn't worry me at all," Ronaldo said. "I do my profession, my job, I give me all for my club ... the rest doesn't matter to me. I don't care what happens on the outside.
So pressed on what it is the players talk about, Ronaldo added: "About music, about women, about fashion, about shoes, about suitcases/bags, about jewellery, about haircuts...anymore?"
Oppenheimer went on to say he finds that hard to believe, before asking if the Qatar World Cup controversy bothers Ronaldo.
From there all hell broke loose as Ronaldo let loose on Oppenheimer. "This is, this is bulls***. I can't speak like that," he said.
"This is bulls***. Speak about FIFA, I don't care about FIFA. And Qatar...I don't give a f***. What you want me to do? Speak about product, he speaks about FIFA...come on."
