Morgan Schneiderlin scored his first goal in a Manchester United shirt in the first International Champions Cup 2015 game against Club America, and this time, against the San Jose Earthquakes, it was the turn of Memphis Depay.
The Dutchman was again deployed behind sole striker Wayne Rooney in a 4-2-3-1 formation, and after nearly getting on the end of a Juan Mata cross for the first goal, Depay got on the scoresheet to slot home Manchester United's second in a 3-1 win over the MLS side in San Jose.
After Mata had opened the scoring with a cross-shot which just evaded Depay's touch and nestled into the net, the Dutch summer signing scored his first Manchester United goal.
A poor backpass from Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi allowed Depay to nip in ahead of San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham, before calmly placing the ball where it needed to go.
Fatai Alashe pulled one back before halftime for San Jose to keep the International Champions Cup 2015 match interesting.
However, Manchester United, with a whole new set of outfielders in the second half, made the game safe via exciting Brazilian Andreas Pereira, who headed home off a cross from another young player in Jesse Lingard.
Below are the highlights of the match, including that goal from Memphis Depay.
