Manchester United played some good football in the ongoing 2015 International Champions Cup where the Red Devils defeated Barcelona 3-1 Levi's Stadium on Saturday.
The game started brightly for Barcelona with Luis Suarez taking a beautiful free kick in the third minute only to be denied by the post as Manchester United goalie, Dav de Dea, did not even flinch a muscle. The Spanish champions soon got another opportunity, but failed to capitalise.
Barcelona could have been at least a goal ahead by the first five minutes, but Manchester United taught them a great lesson with Wayne Rooney unleashing a powerful header to take lead in the eighth minute of the game.
The first half saw both teams play some entertaining football, but United led by 1-0 at half-time. For Barcelona, Suarez looked electrifying, but could not help his team draw level.
Manchester United changed their entire team after the compeletion of the first hour and substitutes Jesse Lingard and Adnan Januzaj scored a goal each later in the game. Rafinha scored one for Barcelona.
With such performance by Manchester United, they have sent warning signs across teams in the EPL as the new season is set to start on 8 August, where Louis van Gaal's team faces Tottenham Hotspur.
