The second edition of the Indian Super League is a little more than a month away, but the excitement and euphoria surrounding the second season of the football league in India has already been built.
The tournament organisers, in association with Star Sports, have brought out the newest television commercial (TVC) that is sure to enthral Indian football fans.
'Bajegi seeti, Udega ball, Come on India, Let's football' (Whistles will blow, footballs will fly) is the catchline of the promo as the ad opens up showing two youngsters with a football waiting on outside a park for a cricket game to end.
However, as soon as it starts raining, the cricketers make their way out and the duo finally get to ply their trade on the field. Their footballing action soon shifts to the streets of the country as a number of boys and girls representing different states of India, dribble their way through jam-packed roads as well as rooftops and overbridges.
The ad ends with the catchphrase – 'Kaun kambakht football nahi khelta?' (a rhetorical question saying that there's no one who won't play football) – as the football fans assemble together to promote the upcoming edition of the football league.
The ISL 2015 gets underway from 3 October with last year's league stage toppers Chennaiyin FC taking on defending champions Atletico de Kolkata at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
The more than two-month long football extravaganza carries on until 20 December, where two of the strongest teams will face each other in the final of the competition, to be held at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa.
Apart from Kolkata and Chennai, the other teams participating in the ISL are Kerala Blasters, NorthEast United FC, FC Goa, Mumbai City FC, FC Pune City, and Delhi Dynamos.
