In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, the US president Barack Obama and his family members are seen serving Thanksgiving dinner to veterans and homeless at a Washington shelter on Thursday, 26 November.
The first family visited Friendship Place Homeless Center as part of the 'Feast with Friends' event. While Obama served turkey and gravy, Michelle gave vegetables and their daughters Sasha and Malia served mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberries for the veterans.
In the video, Obama is seen happily interacting with the people and the president is also appreciated by one of the veteran. "You're doing a great job," a veteran tells before wishing Obama the greetings of the holiday.

Meanwhile, Obama and his daughters attended the Turkey pardoning ceremony on the Thanksgiving eve at White House.
"For months there has been a fierce competition between a bunch of turkeys trying to win their way into the White House. Today I can announce that the American people have spoken and we have two winners, their names are Honest and Abe," Obama said during the ceremony.
