Vespa India will be launching new products on 1 September. Italian footballer Alessandro Del Piero, the company's global brand ambassador, will be launch the products.
The new products are expected to be Vespa VXL and Vespa SXL, the new variants to Vespa VX and Vespa S, reports Zigwheels.
No mechanical changes are expected in the new variants. An array of cosmetic upgrades such as new alloy wheels and new colour options will be added. A semi-digital instrument control is rumoured and the variants are expected to be positioned above the VX and S variants.
The new variants will be powered by the same 125cc, 3-valve engine developing 10.06PS of power at 7500rpm and 10.6Nm of torque at 6000rpm mated to CVT transmission. The scooter will measure 1,770 mm in length, 690 mm in width, 1,140 mm in height.
The variants will also be built in monocoque full-steel body construction. The 200mm disc brake for the front wheel availabe in Vepa VX and S will also be available in the new variants.
Vespa currently sells the VX at Rs 74,273 and Vespa S at Rs 78, 495, both prices ex-showroom, Delhi. The new variants are expected to be slightly costlier than these models.
