Contrary to the reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor's "Veere Di Wedding" is not delayed and will go on the floors in August. Rumours were doing the rounds that due to budget issues "Veere Di Wedding" has been delayed, but the film's spokesperson confirmed to International Business Times India that the reports are false.
The spokesperson also clarified that the first schedule will begin outside India.
"Veere Di Wedding," produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, is about four girls. The film features pregnant Kareena and Sonam in the lead. When Kareena announced that she is pregnant, there were reports that she might opt out of the film. However, the producers of the film issued a statement saying that she is a part of the film.
Kareena will now flaunt her baby bump in the film and the makers are confident that Bebo is a professional and will not back out.
"Bebo is a thorough professional and she will start shoot of the film in August. Much like the spirit of our film, which celebrates the modern girl, Kareena is going on with her work and life as usual. We are proud to have her (in the film)," Rhea had told Press Trust of India.
Rhea and Ekta are producing the film and it will be helmed by the "Khoobsurat" director, Shashanka Ghosh. It will also star Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania alongside Kareena, who will be the main lead in the film.
