Actress Veena Malik's former live-in partner has filed a complaint against her, after she allegedly ran away with his money and threatened him over the phone.
Veena had shocked the media last week by announcing her marriage to Dubai-based businessman Assad Bashir Khattak on 25 December. With the news still doing the rounds, a third person has now come into the picture.
Mumbai resident and businessman Prashant Pratap Singh claims Veena was his live-in partner for two years. According to him, the actress, who was a partner at his entertainment firm, ran away with his money and got married without his knowledge.
Prashant filed a Non Cognisable (NC) offence complaint against Veena at the Aarey police station on Saturday. The actress' ex-lover further revealed that when Veena came to know of the complaint against her, she threatened him and his mother over the phone, by saying she would press rape and molestation charges against them.
Responding to the allegations, the actress told Mid Day: "I'm too busy in my life with my husband and family to threaten people. Prashant is my employee and I pay him Rs 10,000 a month. He works for me so one can only understand the reality of his statements. I have no idea what is his motive. I am happy and my in-laws are happy."
A Daily Bhaskar report also referred Prashant as Veena's manager, as well as boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan-born actress seemed preoccupied with her marriage. Her twitter feed had her making mushy exchanges with husband Khattak, along with photos of the couple.
