Pakistani actress Veena Malik has finally broken her silence on the alleged leaked MMS clip, featuring her and an Indian actor, that went viral on the web a few months ago. She has confirmed that it was her in the video but claimed the voices were tampered.
A raunchy MMS clip featuring Veena Malik in a compromising position with actor Rajan Verma hit the internet a few months ago.
After keeping silent all these months, the actress has now revealed that the video was shot for her upcoming film, "Zindagi 50-50".
"The truth is that we had shot a song for the film, "Zindagi 50-50" which got leaked. Someone tampered the voices in the video which originally has a song," Veena Malik told reporters.
"It's a beautiful scene. Beautiful intimate song sung by Rekha Bharadwaj. We are not romancing. It's an intimate scene between the characters Madhuri (played by Malik) and Birju (played by Verma)."
The Pakistani actress, who shot to fame after participating in Indian reality show "Bigg Boss" in 2010, plays the role of a sex worker in the film. She said that she even spent time with real life prostitutes to get into the skin of her character.
"Zindagi 50-50", directed by Rajiv S Ruia and produced by Veeraj Kumar, features Riya Sen, Veena Malik, Rajan Verma, Arya Babbar, Supriya Kumari, Rajpal Yadav and Murli Sharma in the lead roles. It is slated to get released on 24 May.
