Shruthi Haasan, who is on a dream run working with big stars of south India, will be playing an interesting role in her forthcoming Tamil movie "Singam 3". As per the buzz, she will be seen as a CBI officer in the upcoming flick.
The "Vedalam" actress will be turning a CBI officer for the first time and as per reports, she will not be romancing Suriya in the film. Instead, she will be helping the hero to nab the criminals. Her role has been well-defined so that her portions do not affect the character played by Anushka Shetty, who will be seen as the actor's wife.
Her role is expected to be much bigger than Hansika Motwani's role in "Singam 2". It is a challenging role for Shruthi Haasan as she has to do the stunts on her own in the upcoming movie. However, neither the makers nor the actress has confirmed the aforementioned details.
This is Shruthi Haasan's second movie with Suriya after their hit "7aum Arivu". This was her first movie in Tamil as a heroine and it established her presence in the industry.
"Singam 3" was supposed to take off in November in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. But the shooting has been delayed following unprecedented rain in Chennai in the last few weeks. Even the planned Kolkata schedule was postponed due to the bad weather. Adding to that, Suriya was stuck in Indonesia leading to the cancellation of the planned shooting schedule.
Reports claim that "Singam 3" directed by Hari might begin in the next two weeks. The film will be shot in Chennai and a few other foreign countries. Like its first two instalments, it will be a thriller loaded with all the commercial ingredients.
