The cast and crew of Remo D'Souza's "ABCD2" escaped a tragedy on Thursday after they were evacuated from the sets, which caught fire and was burnt down.
According to a Bollywood Life, Varun Dhawan , Shraddha Kapoor and 600 others were busy shooting a sequence when a cluster fell off the wall and a section went up in flames, resulting in widespread panic. However, no casualties were reported. The shoot was called off for the day.
Back to work, Varun, Shraddha and Lauren Gottlieb shared the details of the incident on Twitter, stating that come what may, they 'won't stop dancing'. Here's what they had to say:
Varun Dhawan: "There was a fire and our set got burnt down.We safely evacuated600 people and we will be back to work tomorrow.WE WONT STOP DANCING. #abcd2"
Shraddha Kapoor: "Yes sadly there was a fire on set today but everything is fine & everyone is safe! Back to shoot tomorrow. We WONT stop dancing!! #ABCD2"
Lauren Gottlieb: "Yesterday there was a fire on set w/ 600 people rushing to safety. Everyone's ok, thank god. Today we are back! WE WONT STOP DANCING! #ABCD2"
However, this is not the first time that there has been an accident on the sets of this dance film. Earlier last year, the lead pair were reportedly injured while rehearsing for one of the dance routines. While the "Ek Villain" actress suffered a muscle pull followed by a week in bed, Varun took an injection to complete the shoot schedule after hurting his back majorly.
