After the success of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are all set to team up once again for Shashank Khaitan's next. Shashank has earlier directed Varun and Alia in his debut film "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania".
To be produced by Dharma Productions, the film has been tentatively titled "Shiv Ki Dulhania" or "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" and will apparently see the "Badlapur" actor playing the role of a Shiv bhakt.
The film is expected to go on floors in May and will hit the theatres during Republic day (26 January) week next year.
"The director has once again impressed Dhawan and Bhatt with his next script. Last month, he narrated the script to them and they both loved it and gave it their nod. The film will go on the floors from May and will release during Republic Day (January 26) week of 2017," a source close to the director told Box Office India.
If reports are anything to go by, then this will be the third time Varun and Alia will share screen space after their debut film "Student of the Year" (2012) and "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" (2014).
Meanwhile, Alia is currently busy shooting for Shakun Batra's "Kapoor and Sons" along with her rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Varun, on the other hand, will be seen in action-adventure film "Dishoom" with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.
