One of Bollywood's favourite on-screen pairs Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will soon appear in another romantic flick. The duo will soon start shooting for the sequel of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania," which has been titled as "Badrinath Ki Dulhania."
Apparently, Karan Johar's "Shuddhi" was supposed to be their next film together, but now the film has reportedly been shelved. Whether the project was jinxed or the cast and crew were really busy with their other commitments, reports suggested that the film was dropped for various reasons.
However, Varun and Alia will make their comeback with the franchise of their last film, "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania." Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" will be a love story, set in the heart of Uttar Pradesh, according to boxofficeindia.co.in.
The film goes on the floors in the first week of May and will be shot in one schedule. The previous instalment was also a love story that was set in Punjab and Delhi, and it was said to be inspired by Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge."
Meanwhile, Alia and Varun are busy with their individual projects. Varun is shooting for his brother Rohit Dhawan's film "Dishoom" and Alia is working in Gauri Shinde's project. Bhatt will reportedly start working in "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" after she is done with the promotions of "Kapoor and Sons."
Produced by Dharma Productions, Varun and Alia will wrap up the shooting of the film in one go. The makers of the film are planning to release "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" by the end of this year.
