The first song of "Varsham" starring Mammootty and Asha Sarath in the lead is released.
The song, which begins with the lines "Koottuthedi" is rendered by Sachin Warrier. The lyrics are written by Jayageetha and is composed by Bijibal.

The song shows a get together of close family and friends where Venu (Mammootty's) and Nandini's (Asha) son Anand (Master Nabeesh) is singing the song. The song goes through some sweet and light moments of the proud parents as their son displays his talents.
The audio of "Koottuthedi" song was released on 11 October along with the film's trailer, but the visual of the song was released only on 17 October through WhatsApp and was later uploaded online.
Meanwhile, "Koottuthedi" was the first Malayalam song that was released through WhatsApp. On 16 October evening, Mammootty had asked his fans to post their numbers on his Facebook page, out of which 10 numbers were selected, who received the song directly through the app.
The new marketing strategies of "Varsham" team and Mammootty have, however, got great appreciation from various quarters of the industry and fans.
The trailer of "Varsham" that was released recently has also raised the expectation of the audience in the film. The film is expected to be Mammootty's one of the best films this year.
"Varsham", directed by Ranjith Sankar is touted as a family entertainer. The film also has a huge star cast of Mamta Mohandas, TG Ravi, Govind Padmasoorya, Sunil Suhada, Irshad, Sudheer Karamana, Sajitha Madathil, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Sreelatha Namboothiri, Hareesh Peradi, Vinod Kovoor, Sarayu, Jayaraj Warrier and Shabin in significant roles.
"Varsham" will hit theatres on 6 November and the film is produced by Mammootty under the banner of Play House Release
