Vantage AMR: Aston Martin launches first AMR performance range car

British luxury car maker Aston Martin announced the launch of AMR, a sub-brand laced with race-inspired dynamism and performance, earlier this year. Now the company has launched the first car from AMR range, Vantage AMR.

Vantage is synonymous with extreme performance Aston Martins since 1950s. It is also the most successful sports car of the Gaydon-based car maker. Hence, it is not surprising that the company has chosen Vantage model as the first AMR model to enter production.

The Vantage AMR is offered in both V8 and V12 engine options and in Coupe and Roadster avatars. The production units are limited to just 300 cars; 100 V12 units and 200 V8 units.

The Vantage AMR is available in four striking AMR exterior schemes including Stratus White with an Orange graphic, Ultramarine Black with Blue graphic, Zaffre Blue with Red graphic and Scintilla Silver with Grey graphic. In addition, the AMR Halo Pack adds Stirling Green paint and vivid Lime Green accents, inspired from the Aston Martin Racing's 2016 World Endurance Championship-winning #95 Vantage GTE. The exterior package is topped off with, a special Union Jack-enameled AML wings badge.

The interior is spruced up with a combination of leather and Alcantara for the Vantage AMR Coupes and all-leather for the Vantage AMR Roadsters. In keeping with its exterior, the Halo Pack features contrasting colours, including Lime Green welts and accents.

The Vantage AMR also boasts of carbon-fibre inserts. The highlight is carbon-fibre seats with front grille, side strakes, lamp infill and mirror caps on the outside, instrument surround, door tops and door grabs on the inside. There is also a choice of three different finishes for the V8 Vantage AMR's five-spoke alloy wheels and the V12 Vantage AMR's 10-spoke alloy wheels.

The Vantage AMRs are offered both with V8 mill developing 430bhp or V12 powertrain options with 595bhp (up from 565bhp).Both engines are fitted with automated sequential manual paddle-shift transmissions, and six and seven-speed manual gearboxes in the V8 and V12 Vantage AMRs respectively for the purist.

Prices for Aston Martin Vantage AMR range starts from £97,995 in the UK and deliveries will start by 2017-end in selected markets.
