The titles for the first three episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" have been leaked and the premiere episode may very well see a reunion between the Salvatore brothers. The first episode will be titled "Hello Brother,"which is Damon Salvatore's [Ian Somerhalder] first dialogue from the Season 1 premiere, and speculations are rife that it may feature Nina Dobrev's Elena.
What has given rise to this rumour is a "Blind Item" by TVLine that said "one of the Big 5 networks is getting ready to pull off what will likely go down as one of the coolest, most surprising casting stunts of the year."
There hasn't been any official confirmation on Dobrev's return to the show.
Meanwhile, Season 8 of "The Vampire Diaries" may finally provide Alaric with everlasting love and happiness. Alaric has been unlucky in love ever since he arrived at Mystic Falls, as all of his girlfriends have fallen prey to one or the other supernatural villains that passed through the town. His most recent ladylove was Jo, who was killed by her twin brother Kai after he realised that she was pregnant with twin babies. The Gemini coven succeeded in their attempt to transfer the unborn babies to Caroline's womb, and in the previous season she gave birth to two beautiful twin girls.
Caroline decided to stay back and help Alaric raise the kids, and the duo even got engaged. But in the end Caroline realised her true love was Stefan and the lovebirds reunited in the Season 7 finale, leaving Alaric alone once again. But a hot new nanny might spice up things for Alaric in the new season.
"Alaric hasn't had the best luck with women. I don't know if he should be jumping into anything anytime soon, but if he does, the hot nanny would certainly be viable," executive producer Julie Plec revealed to TVLine.
Elsewhere in the season, viewers will see Matt, the character essayed by Zach Roerig, returning to Mystic Falls, and things are going to get explosive for the character. "When Matt comes back to town, it's gonna enrich his character in a way that it's never been in the entire history of the show," the actor told TooFab. "Because you just think about Matt being the only human on the show. He's a busboy, this and that, and no family. We're gonna learn that the Donovan family history is also kind of supernatural and crazy."
"The Vampire Diaries" will return to the CW in October.
