The upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" will see the Heretics out to seek revenge for the death of Malcolm.
As the promo for "Never Let Me Go" already revealed that Caroline's life is in grave danger, she is not the only one courting trouble. According to the synopsis of the episode, the viewers will see Matt making a "risky life or death decision" and it is safe to assume that this is linked to the Heretics, who have taken over Mystic Falls.
Damon, in the meantime, will try to make amends with his mother, but Lily is in no mood to listen to Damon's reasons for killing Malcolm. "Lily remains one step ahead and carries out a harsh plan that hits Damon where it hurts most," the synopsis reads, hinting that Elena's life could be in trouble.
As for Stefan and Caroline, the synopsis states that the blonde vampire will learn shocking details about Stefan's past. And this might have something to do with Todd Lasance's character Julian.
According to Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan, Julian did something that changed the course of the youngest Salvatore's life.
Commenting on new characters on "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 who are important to Stefan, Wesley told TV Insider that the fans will be introduced to Julian, a vampire "who's the guy Lily fell for after she became a vampire. We'll discover that he altered the direction of Stefan's life significantly. We'll also learn about the girl with whom Stefan had his first big romantic experience before Katherine [also played by Nina Dobrev]."
Without elaborating on what Julian did, Wesley said, "Well, he does something that is absolutely awful, even for The Vampire Diaries!"
"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays on The CW. According to the synopsis of the episode 2, the viewers will see Alaric seeking Bonnie's help with a mysterious and potentially dangerous artifact he has obtained.
