Actor Drew Stephenson has been cast to play the character Collin, who will appear in multiple episodes in "The Vampire Diaries" season 6.
At present, not much is known about the character, but a press statement reveals that Collin is "an integral character to the show's plot, on two consecutive shows, starting January 22, 2015."
The actor might have something to do with Caroline Forbes' search for a cure for her mother's cancer, as he revealed in a tweet that he was sharing screen space with Candice Accola, who essays Caroline.
"Preparing for my last scene with Caroline Forbes…" he tweeted.
In yet another tweet, he praised the cast of the vampire drama and said he was lucky to share screen space with them.
"Just rehearsed with Stephan Salvatore and Elena! When the camera stops rolling they are super funny .. . Crazy talented folks. #Blessed," he tweeted, adding: "Amazing how different ppl are in real life.. . Just great to see folks stay humble through success! #VampireDiaries #Filming."
"The Vampire Diaries" will be back on The CW on Thursday, 22 January, with "Woke Up With a Monster," that will pick up immediately after the events of the midseason finale.
The season 6 midseason premiere will introduce yet another new character, Sarah Salvatore, and viewers will finally see Damon being told that the baby he thought he had killed was still alive.
Here's the synopsis of the episode: "More powerful than ever, Kai holds Elena captive while he learns to control his newly acquired magic. At the Salvatore mansion, Liv and Alaric try to prepare Jo for the impending merge ceremony with Kai, but they quickly realize Jo is weaker than they thought.
Meanwhile, Stefan, who has his own intentions for traveling to North Carolina, is caught off guard when Enzo shows up demanding to know what Stefan is hiding."
