Like Raj-Simran from "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," Bollywood has given birth to several on-screen romantic couples. From Shah Rukh Khan to Alia Bhatt, these stars have taught us a lot about love and romance through their films.
According to a Valentine's Day special poll conducted by IBTimes India, the readers voted for the Bollywood's most romantic on-screen pair last week. The results show that most fans choose SRK and Kajol over other pairs as their favourite.
Khan-Kajol received maximum votes of 89.68 percent. Though their comeback film "Dilwale" didn't do well at the box office, people appreciated the evergreen couple's chemistry on-screen. The duo had impressed viewers in Karan Johar's "My Name Is Khan," which was also a hit at the box office.
On the other hand, lovebirds Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone received 6.33 percent votes, whereas the actress' pairing with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor got 1.98 percent votes. Also, only 1.98 percent people voted for Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's on-screen pair and 0.7 percent chose Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.
It was a bit surprising that the "Bajirao Mastani" and the "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" pairs received less votes as the audience love their on-screen romance. In fact, Kapoor and Padukone have always impressed viewers as a couple on the big screen.
Proving the saying "Old is gold" true, SRK and Kajol's chemistry continues to rule the hearts of the audience. People are always eager to watch them together on-screen. The pair has worked together in almost seven films, including "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," "Karan Arjun," "Baazigar," "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham," "My Name Is Khan" and "Dilwale." Kajol has also made several special appearances in SRK's films.
