Kamal Haasan's much-awaited "Uttama Villain" trailer was supposed to release for Pongal. But it has reportedly been leaked on the Internet.
The trailer of "Uthama Villain" has been leaked on YouTube, says a report published in The Times of India website. The makers of the movie had planned the release as a Pongal treat to Tamil movie buffs. But to everybody's shock, it has appeared on the Internet before the official launch.
The trailer has been certified 'U' and its runtime is 1 minute and 30 seconds. The video-clip has been removed from YouTube. The makers of the film are yet to comment on the issue.
This is not the first time where a video clip of the movie has been leaked.
Recently, a rough trailer of Vikram's "I", which is releasing on 14 January, had hit the Internet and shocked the industry.
Coming back to "Uttama Villain", it is a special movie for not just Kamal Haasan but for the entire industry as it is the last movie of K Balachander as actor. The legendary director, who passed away recently, will be seen in a cameo.
The upcoming film is directed by Kannada actor and director Ramesh Aravind. It features Kamal Haasan, Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Parvathi and others. It is a message-oriented comedy movie, which tells the story of a superstar actor and a folk artist.
It has M Ghibran's music and Shyam Dutt's cinematography. Vijay Shankar is the editor of the movie, which is jointly produced by N Lingusamy and Kamal Haasan. The flick is expected to hit the screens in February 2015.
