The pre-release business of Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie "Uttama Villain" is going on in a full swing. The latest addition to the movie is Abirami Mega Mall, which acquired the Chennai distribution rights of the film.
Reports are that Abirami Mega Mall is planning for a record-breaking release in the city. The company is known for distributing some big films including Kamal Haasan's "Unnaipol Oruvan", Rajinikanth's "Sivaji", Suriya's "Ayan" and "Anjaan" and Vikram's "Kanthasamy".
Recently, the Telugu rights of "Uttama Villain" was sold to C Kalyan, who will release the movie under the banner of CK Entertainment Private Ltd.
The expectations are high for the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie that is currently at the post-production stage. With the music release, the hype around the movie has gone high. The audience are now expecting the movie to be one of the best technically sound movies of "Ulaganayagan".
"Uttama Villain" directed by Ramesh Aravind. Kamal Haasan will be seen in double roles as a superstar and a folk artist. The film, which is co-written by Haasan and Crazy Mohan, has a huge star cast of Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Parvathi Nair, Urvashi, Jayaram, Nassar, K Viswanath, Chithra Lakshman, MS Bhaskar and Ashwin.
K Balachander, the legendary film-maker who passed away recently, will play the role of mentor to Kamal Haasan's superstar character in the movie just as it was in real life.
The movie was earlier announced to be released on 2 April. Now, the latest reports suggest that the movie will hit screens on 10 April, where as the official confirmation of the release date is still awaited.
The film is co-produced by N Lingusamy under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers Pvt Ltd and Kamal under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International. The worldwide distribution of the movie is done by Eros now.
